Eric Monnet

Dr. Eric Monnet graduated from veterinary school in Maisons-Alfort, France, in 1985. After four years in private practice in Paris, he completed a small animal surgery residency and master’s degree at Colorado State University in 1994. He earned his PhD in Clinical Sciences in 1997 and became a fellow of the American Heart Association in 2003.

His academic work includes small animal general surgery at Colorado State University, more than 100 articles and 25 textbook chapters. He served as founding president of the Society for Veterinary Soft Tissue Surgery and as president of the Veterinary Endoscopy Society. His editorial work includes Small Animal Soft Tissue Surgery and Gastrointestinal Surgical Techniques in Small Animals.
